Speech Therapy
Finding the words. Sharing the meal.
Speech-language pathology covers more than speech. Our SLPs treat communication difficulties after stroke or brain injury, voice changes, cognitive-communication issues, and swallowing disorders that can make eating frightening.
What we treat
- Speech production and articulation after neurological injury
- Aphasia and language rehabilitation following stroke
- Cognitive-communication therapy for memory, attention, and reasoning
- Swallowing (dysphagia) evaluation and treatment
- Voice therapy for hoarseness, projection, and breath support
- AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) training
- LSVT LOUD® for Parkinson's patients (where appropriate)
- Caregiver and family training for safe mealtimes and communication strategies
